Accommodation Requirements
When it is necessary for the AJA Associate to stay overnight, the accommodation provided should meet the following criteria:
- All venues must have flat access
- The hotel room should ideally be on the ground floor
- If lift access is required the lift should be fire proof and be of adequate size.
If not, then other evacuation procedures must be in force e.g. evacuation chair - An accessible ("disabled") room for the trainer and a 2nd, standard adjoining/inter-connecting room for their P.A.
- Room must have a walk-in shower, or a bath with suitable grip rails
We like Premier Travel Inns as they do meet the criteria.
Other important points
- Tell us what name the room is booked under and the booking reference number
- Provide clear and specific directions to hotel
- Provide clear and specific directions between hotel and venue
- If the accessible entrance is not clearly marked from the car park please tell us how to get there
