Consultancy - Example Report
Wrexham Borough Council invited Alison John Associates to deliver Play2gether, an
introductory course on inclusive play and Everyone Can Play, Level 2 inclusive
play training course for local playworkers. They were also keen to gather the views of local disabled children and young
people in order to inform the local play strategy, taking into account their play
preferences and the type of play environments they would like to access.
By identifying the barriers experienced by disabled children, young people and families, Wrexham County Borough Council’s Play Development Team were looking to ensure that the views of all stakeholders are acknowledged and acted upon.
Alison John & Associates were invited to facilitate this event.
In recognition of the low take up for the consultation event, the consultants
were eager to explore the possible barriers faced by the families of disabled
children and young people
in attending this event.
The report describes the
event, analyses and evaluates the outcomes and makes
recommendations based upon the gathered data.
