Aim

  • To enable learners to feel confident and gain competence in the creative process.
  • To explore the links between play and creativity through direct experience

Learning Outcomes

  • To explore the play possibilities of scrap materials and loose parts
  • To gain confidence and develop practical skills that support the creative process
  • To develop an understanding of how creative play supports development
  • To explore the importance of reflective practice
  • To understand some of the theories that underpin playwork practice
  • To identify how to maintain a safe play environment including risk assessment and legal obligations

Course Requirements

A two day course which can run on consecutive or two single days

NVQ Level (or Equivilent)             

This course is matched against the Playwork National Occupational Standards and the CCLD Standards at Level 3 and is endorsed by Skills Active.

Courses are delivered in a fun, participative way and can be adapted to engage different target audiences. Requirements for access, timing and training space will be specified in advance. The timing of courses can be flexible to meet the needs of learners.
