Disability Discrimination Act Implementation

As employers, you are responsible for everything your employees do or say at work. Don't be done for discrimination! We can support you in addressing your responsibilities in law under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).

From December 2006 the Disability Discrimination Act will place a duty on all public bodies to promote Disability Equality.

This requires all public organisations
to have due regard to:

Promoting equality of opportunity between Disabled People and Non-Disabled people.
Eliminating discrimination that is unlawful under the Act
Eliminating harassment of Disabled People that is related to their impairments
Promoting positive attitudes towards Disabled People
Encouraging participation by Disabled People in public life

We provide training courses for raising your staff's awareness of the accessibility requirements of Disabled People.
