Aims
To introduce participants to a new and challenging view of disablism and support them in developing play and early years services that are inclusive to all

Learning Outcomes
Been introduced to and reflected on the term Disablism
Looked at how society views Disabled People by using different models
To understand and practice the principles of adapting games and activities
To explore the language and terminology used in relation to Disabled Children and how it impacts on everyone
To develop a personal action plan for change

Target Audience
Childcare and Youth Service providers, Elected Members, Any frontline staff, Social Workers, Health Visitors, Housing and Library Services, Doctors Surgeries, Parents

Number of Students
Minimum: 6                     
Maximum: 20

Course Requirements  
1 trainer, 1 day, 6 hours, 10am - 4pm. The course will always be delivered by a trainer with personal experience of disability

Courses are delivered in a fun, participative way and can be adapted to engage different target audiences. Requirements for access, timing and training space will be specified in advance. The timing of courses can be flexible to meet the needs of learners.
