Personal Assistance Consultancy

How to write a policy that offers intimate personal assistance that safeguards Disabled Children, Young People and staff.

There are many children and young people with significant and multiple impairments, who want to use your play, after school, pre-school, early years and youth club services. The Disability Discrimination Act requires you to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ in order to include these children and young people. To facilitate this you will need to have policies and procedures in place.

A consultant from AJA could spend a half day or full day with you either:

as individuals
as a team
or a small mixed group from different organisations

The consultation can offer the following:

Review and update current policies, procedures and practices
